Information for media: More than 60 stores will continue to operate at “Akropole”; working hours are changed

Taking into account the new restrictions announced by the government in the country, from 21 October to 15 November, the “Akropole” shopping centre will be partially closed, and more than 60 sales and service outlets will continue to operate, which will be open from 10:00 to 19:00

Until 15 November, visitors will be able to visit shops for basic necessities - grocery stores, pharmacies, opticians' shops, pet food stores, flower shop, bookstores, press outlets, hygiene and household goods stores, telecommunication goods and services, as well as catering places that will provide takeaway services.

Starting today, on 21 October, the working hours of the shops operating in the shopping centre “Akropole” will also change - the supermarket “MAXIMA” will be open from 7.00 to 19.00 on all days, except Sunday, when its working hours are set from 8.00 to 19.00, while  most shops and service points will be open from 10.00 to 19.00. A unified order pickup point outside entrance B of “Akropole” is placed, where visitors will be able to receive pre-purchased and paid items online from stores available in “Akropole”. To receive an order at the unified order pickup point, the order must be paid for in advance. Upon arrival at the order pickup point, the individual must contact the relevant store by telephone, announcing the arrival and stating the order number.

The safety of visitors continues to be a priority for “Akropole” - visitors are provided with non-contact disinfection equipment, contact surfaces are regularly cleaned and disinfected, special handle disinfection mechanisms are installed in the escalators and the security service continues to issue free face masks. At the same time, the ventilation systems in the “Akropole” premises continue to operate in fresh air mode around the clock; in addition, specialised air purification equipment constantly takes care of disinfecting the air in lifts.

Thanks to the high standards of sustainability and energy efficiency, “Akropole” has obtained the prestigious BREEAM certificate for the design and construction stages of the building. “Akropole” was also recognised as the winner in the nomination category “New Public Building” in the “Latvian Construction Industry’s Annual Award 2019” contest, and was recognised as the best BIM object at “The Best Building of the Year in Latvia 2019”. Moreover, connected to “Akropole” shopping centre is the largest B+ class Business centre in Latvia.
