Shopping centre “Alfa” will be renamed to “AKROPOLE Alfa” on 10th of March

2022-03-01

As part of the expansion of the AKROPOLE brand, the process of introducing the new name "AKROPOLE Alfa" has started – the installation of the new name signs on the building is currently being performed. On 10th March, Alfa will officially become “AKROPOLE Alfa”.

"On 10th March, the popular shopping, entertainment and meeting place will officially change its name to “AKROPOLE Alfa”. The introduction of the new and strong brand will strengthen the position of “AKROPOLE Alfa” while preserving the good experience it has built up over the past 20 years,” says Zane Kaktiņa, Manager of the Alfa shopping centre.

The name change will also bring changes to the visual identity, both at the shopping centre and on social media accounts and other communication materials. A new united website for both shopping centres will be launched. AKROPOLE gift card programme will be expanded – from 10th of March the gift cards will be sold and accepted at both shopping centres. At the same time, the name change and the introduction of the single-brand will not affect the day-to-day operations of AKROPOLE Alfa –– the shopping centre's opening hours, range of stores and services, service and epidemiological safety standards will remain unchanged.

As announced previously, Akropolis Group, which owns and manages two shopping centres in Riga, Alfa and Akropole, has decided to extend the use of its AKROPOLE brand. The Alfa shopping centre will change its name to AKROPOLE Alfa, while the Akropole shopping and entertainment centre will become AKROPOLE Riga while maintaining the same high level of customer service and wide range of shops, entertainment options and services. The process of introducing a single brand is expected to be fully completed in spring this year.
