On 3 July, the multifunctional shopping and entertainment centre Akropole hosted the opening of a new adidas Originals leisure clothing and footwear store, this brand’s first concept store in the Baltic States. This year, marking its 70th birthday, adidas Originals is continuing to grow and expanding its network of stores, including their entrance in the Baltic market, and providing a unique shopping experience to an increasing number of people throughout the world.

“We impatiently looked forward to the opening of the new adidas Originals store and are delighted that the leisure clothing and footwear pioneer and one of the world’s most influential brands will now also be available to Akropole’s visitors,” explains Akropole Rīga CEO and Akropolis Group Board Chairman Vytautas Labeckas. “We want to ensure the best, highest quality and most authentic shopping experience in Latvia, therefore the adidas Originals concept store will be a valuable addition not only to our existing lifestyle goods brands, but also to our two free time and active leisure stores Sports Direct and USC, which recently joined Akropole’s portfolio of tenants.”

The first adidas Originals concept store in the Baltics spans an area of 180 m2, and its visitors will have the chance to buy the brand’s leisure footwear and clothing that is popular all over the world. According to the company’s representatives, adidas Originals is more than just a sporting goods manufacturer – it is culture, confidence and lifestyle, which is encoded in the brand’s legendary three stripes. Moreover, the sporting lifestyle is continuing its victory march globally – it is one of the assets of various cultures and societies and is the basis for every person’s happiness and health. This is why, on its 70th birthday, adidas Originals is expanding its network of stores and offering innovative and authentic limited-edition collections to an increasing number of customers all over the world.

On two floors, Akropole shopping and entertainment centre presents not only fashion and lifestyle goods brands that are well-known and popular among shoppers, but also stores that are making their first appearance in Latvia and the Baltics. Akropole is the home to the first Van Graaf multi-brand store in the Baltics, the first Oysho fashion goods store in Latvia, a Deichmann footwear shop, as well as the first USC sporting goods store. Here you will also find the biggest Zara, Reserved and KidzOne stores in Latvia, as well as the first River Island brand store which also offers a collection for men. The extensive range of stores is augmented by 30 restaurants and cafés to suit various tastes, a large all-seasony skating rink, cinema with nine movie theatres (including the first IMAX movie theatre in Latvia), a spacious and elegant Maxima XXX supermarket, modern gym, and outdoor kids’ playground. The O’Learys entertainment zone offers bowling, billiards, sports game simulators and other exciting leisure and entertainment options for the whole family.
