This Privacy Policy contains information about the processing of your personal data. We ensure that all personal data are processed in accordance with the provisions of General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, as well as the requirements of the regulatory enactments of the Republic of Latvia.

  • you can receive invitations to events, special offers and other similar information about AKROPOLE shopping centres, discounts and sales events, new stores, current contests and games, changes in opening hours, as well as other useful information about shopping centres by e-mail or SMS;
  • you can receive personalized offers according to your shopping habits and interests by e-mail or SMS;
  • you can receive a birthday greeting and a personalized offer (gift, special discount, etc.) by e-mail or SMS;
  • we may invite you to an event of interest to you or provide other useful information by telephone.

We also use this data for statistical or other analysis to regularly improve the content of our informative messages and the services provided by the Company.

3.3. Your questions and complaints

At the same time, we process your data (such as your name, surname, email address, subject and text of your question, and other data and information sent to us) when you send your information requests and questions to our Company’s e-mail address or when you provide any information on our Website or in social network accounts.

We ask that you comply with the minimum personal data protection requirements: do not mention personal data (such as name, surname, address, telephone number, e-mail address, real estate data, health data, other special categories of data or sensitive personal data, etc.) in the subject of the e-mail message or information request or in the names of files attached to the message. Do not include your personal identity number, health data or other special categories of data or sensitive personal data in the text of an e-mail message, question or request, and only specify other personal data to the extent it is necessary for the purpose for which the message was submitted.

3.4. Competitions and games organised by the company

In our special rules, we provide information about the data required to participate in a particular competition or game. The decision to participate in competitions or games organised by us is up to you, therefore, you also decide whether or not to provide us with the necessary data.

name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, content created by the participant or any other personal data you provide to us that is necessary for participation in the competition or game.

If a cash prize is awarded in a contest or game, we may ask you to provide your personal identity number and bank account number. In such cases, the personal identity number may be required for payment of the applicable taxes, if the organiser of the competition is responsible for the payment of the relevant taxes.

The Company reserves the right to retain the content submitted for the competition if such content is to be submitted in a tangible format in accordance with the rules of the competition or game.

Such data are needed to run a competition or game.

In order to ensure the transparency of the events, the winner is usually announced publicly. The winner will be announced on the Website, Facebook and/or Instagram account (depending on the type of competition). By confirming your participation in the competition or game, you agree to the public announcement of the winner (this information is usually provided in the rules of the game).

 

3.5. Processing of personal data for personnel recruitment

On the company's website you can provide information about yourself in order to join the team of the Company. You can do this by writing to the e-mail address provided in the advertisement or by filling in the candidate form on the website.

Please, note that we will process your personal data for recruitment purposes and with your consent that is given when submitting these data, and we will retain these data until the end of the specific recruitment process.

If, after reviewing your application, we select another candidate who better meets our requirements, the Company is required to seek your individual consent to the storage and use of personal data for future recruitment processes and to contact you prior to using such personal data.

If you give such consent, the personal data mentioned above will be stored for 5 years from the date of giving the consent.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing in relation to the data processing carried out before the withdrawal of the consent. If you exercise this right to withdraw your consent, we will immediately delete or destroy your personal data.

Please, note that by sending your CV or other personal data to our Company’s e-mail address at the time when recruitment has not been announced, we have the right to store and use such data in recruitment processes for up to one year.

If you find a job offer of your interest on the Company's Website or job search sites, you are welcome to apply for the vacancy by writing to the e-mail address provided in the job offer.

  1. HOW LONG DO WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

By subscribing to direct marketing notifications (informative messages), your personal data are stored for as long as the subscription to receive direct marketing communications is valid, but for no longer than 5 years from your last interaction with the informative message that we sent.

Personal data you submit in other ways is stored for a maximum of 5 years from the last submission.

We also store other data, considering the time limits set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Your personal data may only be stored for a longer period of time in the following cases:

  • there is a reasonable suspicion of illegal activity that is under investigation;
  • your data are necessary for the complete settlement of the dispute or complaint;
  • if we have received complaints about the Visitor or have noticed any violations of the respective User; or
  • based on any other legal basis determined by regulatory enactments.

The Company is not permitted to transfer your personal data to third parties without your prior consent, except for in the following cases:

  • the right to request the deletion of your personal data if there is a legal basis for doing so, for example if the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were obtained or if the processing is carried out unlawfully;
  • the right to restrict the processing of personal data if there is a legal basis for it;
  • the right to object to the processing of your personal data if the processing is carried out on the basis of the Company's legal interests, and if there is a legal basis for such refusal;
  • the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing of data carried out prior to the withdrawal of consent on the basis of that consent;
  • the right not to be the subject of an automated individual decision based on automated processing, including profiling – applies to the preparation of personalized offers.

  1. DATA SECURITY

The Company implements organisational and technical measures in order to protect your personal data from loss, unauthorised use, access, disclosure or alteration.

The company recommends Visitors to comply with the following minimum personal data protection requirements:

  • regularly update the software you are using and install antivirus software.
  1. INFORMATION ABOUT VIDEO RECORDING AND/OR TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS DURING THE EVENT

The company informs that various events can be photographed and/or recorded on the premises of the AKROPOLE Shopping Centres. You should be aware that you may be seen in photographs or videos if you participate in such events. If you have come to such an event with a child (that is, a person under the age of 18), you should be aware that your child may also be photographed and/or filmed as part of the events held at the Akropole Shopping Centre. The captured images may be used on websites, social network accounts or otherwise published for advertising, marketing, publicity and related purposes in a manner and form selected by the Company.

The Company processes such visitor video data based on consent. By participating in a recorded or photographed event, you agree that your image will be captured and used by the Company in the manner specified in this notice. You can revoke your consent by sending an e-mail to [email protected] or [email protected]

The Company ensures that your personal data will be used to provide the necessary security measures.

The Company will process the video data for two years from the date of recording or until your consent is revoked. Such personal data may in certain cases be stored for a longer period of time, if this is necessary for the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of the Company and in other cases provided by laws and regulations.

The Company may use other persons to record or process video data, to whom the data may be transferred.

  1. FINAL PROVISIONS

The Company may update this Privacy Policy. The Company is obliged to inform its Visitors about any changes in the Privacy Policy by publishing the new version of the Policy on its Website, indicating the date of the last changes. Visitors are informed that their continued use of the Website, after the updates of the Policy enter into force, constitutes their acceptance of the changes made. This Privacy Policy comes into force on 10 March 2022 and, thus, updates the privacy policies published on the websites www.akropoleriga.lv and www.akropolealfa.lv.

Should any provision of the Policy be declared invalid or unenforceable, it shall not affect the legality and validity of the remaining provisions.
